The NSW Government manufacturing efficiency funding can help businesses install energy efficient equipment and energy metering to improve their manufacturing processes.
NSW is home to highly innovative, competitive and world-leading manufacturers that are vital to the diversity and strength of the Australian economy. Manufacturers in NSW produce almost 30% of Australia’s total manufacturing output, generating around $33 billion in industry value.
The NSW Government recognises that manufacturing is undergoing a transformation across the industrialised world, and is committed to harnessing and ensuring the industry’s strength in the future.
One of the ways the NSW Government is doing this is through launching a $16.7 million funding program in late February 2019 for manufacturers in NSW to save money and energy. The manufacturing efficiency funding can help businesses install energy efficient equipment and energy metering and improve their manufacturing processes.
Matched funding of up to $120,000 per manufacturing site is also available for projects that reduce the use of gas and electricity.
Visit energysaver.nsw.gov.au to find out more about the funding offers or to register your interest in the program.
To further understand, foster and support our advanced manufacturers, the NSW Government has also worked with industry and key stakeholders to develop the NSW advanced manufacturing industry development strategy.
