Avalon 2019 is shaping up to be bigger than ever. The biggest event on the defence industry calendar, the Australian International Airshow takes flight on a week-long program from late February 2019 at Avalon Airport, Victoria.
The spectacle is the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere and is a major showcase for the promotion of NSW industry to the world.
NSW Government will exhibit at this year’s event in collaboration with 14 defence-related organisations on the Defence NSW stand to showcase a diverse range of products and services to domestic and international customers. The display will host some of the best technology and services the state has to offer including the latest in composites, simulation, communications, electronic warfare, ground support equipment and space technology.
With the much anticipated arrival of Australia’s new F-35 fighters sparking huge interest in the defence aviation sector, Avalon 2019 is set to draw a massive industry crowd.
It’s an exciting time to be promoting the NSW defence aviation sector, and related high technology sectors, with the NSW Government recently investing $11.7 million in funding to expand the aerospace commercial precinct adjacent Newcastle Airport and the Williamtown fighter base and develop skills and infrastructure in the region to ensure Australia can successfully compete with other countries for future F-35 contracts.
The Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition will be held 26 February to 3 March 2019 in Geelong, Victoria.
